And you get good information about how to make things move in a way that looks natural. And you get some good information about lighting, building sets and building figures.This is simply an excellent introduction to actually doing stop motion animation. I used this book to make a short animation.You can't go wrong and if you don't know much about how to do animation but want to learn this is a great place to start.Highly recommended. It covers a lot of technical stuff in an easy to understand and not so technical way which is just terrific. Whether you are a amateur or aspiring professional you will benefit from this book.

About the Author
Nabia Abbott was born in Turkey in 1897. As a young child she was taken by her family across the Middle East to India, where she was educated in British schools and remained until after the First World War. Later she lived in Iraq and finally in the United States, where in 1933 she became the first female faculty member of the Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago. A leading scholar of Arabic, she specialised in deciphering early Islamic papyri. Abbott was the author of seven books and dozens of magazine articles. She died in 1981.

Thomas F. Carter is Senior Lecturer in anthropology at the Chelsea School at the University of Brighton in Eastbourne.
